Sunshine in Plymouth

This crazy heat wave has been amazing - I've been loving the sunshine!

I've been capturing as many moments as possible on camera to share with you

On Wednesday (the first day of sunshine) I went climbing with my brother and his friend on Dartmoor in Shaugh Prior. We did three multi-pitch climbs all of which had fantastic views at the top.

I did manage to bruise my legs and have scratches all over my arms and stomach after clinging desperately onto the rock face so not to fall off, ironically I would've been better off if I had just let go considering I was all tied in. Ah well, I've got the scars at the moment to remind me of an adventure filled day.

That evening I also caught the sunset at Plymouth Hoe:

Unfortunately I had an incredibly busy day of uni with multiple seminars and a presentation (which I think went okay-fingers crossed). When I finally made it out into the sun that evening I grabbed a cold drink outside the student union with a couple of English friends, we had these slush puppy lime and lemon cocktail thing - it was just what I needed to have after a long stuffy day. After that I made my way to the Hoe to join Harry, Ellie and Josh to play card games in the remainder of the sun.

Friday has got to be one of my favourite days at Plymouth so far. We spent the entire day at the seafront soaking in the sunshine; we had a BBQ and even a swim. Admittedly the swim was very brief as it was so cold, as in toe numbingly cold, cold cold cold. It was great to finally actually be in the sea after living here for months and it was lovely and warm when we got out.

Saturday was mostly spent catching up with bits of work but in the evening we went out for a couple of drinks at the Barbican.

All this lovely weather has got me super excited for summer. I'm so grateful to be living in Plymouth, it has been the perfect location for this little flurry of summer - who knows what happened to spring 2018.

Thanks for reading and I hope you've also been able to enjoy the sunshine we've had over the last few days. See you next Monday with a new blog post. If you haven't already subscribed please do :)
