AUTUMN IS DEFFO HERE

I love this season so here's a post (mostly pf photos) of things that I love doing, seeing, and eating/drinking this time of year. Come jump on my overexcited Autumn train

AUTUMN WALKS

Central Park is THE place in Plymouth to be this Autumn. So many trees all looking amaze in the shades of orange and yellow. Being able to walk through here on my way to my weekly swim undoubtedly has been providing motivation.

I've dragged Will up there...

and I've shown Lily and her housemate what all the fuss has been about...

When Asia came to stay we adventured to the Hoe too for another autumn walk

I always think this is the best time of year to go to National trust places. They have such a cosy vibe with the array of colours in the nature there. So in return for waiting for Will to select some new cricket kit in Basingstoke, he took me out to the Vyne.

AUTUMN BUYS

Okay so this is technically a Christmas thing but I've brought Aldi's spiced biscuits into Autumn to go with a hot chocolate whilst i'm cracking through my reading *spiced things are totes an autumn thing too*

These biscuits are actually super yummy so I would recommend stocking your cupboards before they all get sold out in the Christmas season.

Starbucks Pumpkin spiced lattes are always a yes in my books and I love it when they are back out in Autumn. But, Costa have been jumping on the autumn train and have released a Bonfire spiced hot drink range which is also AMAZE. I'm now getting excited for the Christmas hot chocolate range which came out last week

I've also been loving my body wash. It sounds so silly to be including this but hey ho -its got a lovely autumnal smell!

AUTUMN READS

I've not had chance to do any of my own reading so these are my course books but I have actually really been enjoying most of them, these have been my faves this autumn semester:

  • The Awakening

  • Daisy Miller

  • King Lear

  • William Blake selected poems from songs of innocence and experience

  • Coleridge 'rimes of the ancient mariner'

  • and as much as Melville rambled on excessively I did enjoy parts of Moby Dick

  • after reading week I get to read Gatsby again!!!

  • I've also bought this beautiful book to treat myself after my essays are submitted that I can't wait to get my teeth stuck into- I've heard so many good reviews about it:

AUTUMN OUTFITS

I've basically just been wearing my normal clothes but feeling like my wardrobe actually for once is matching/fitting the season! I'm not very good at remembering to take photos of my outifits though so you'll just have to trust me

There has also been a lot of fancy dress outfits this semester (I've been to a few socials this term)

HALLOWEEN

AUTUMN WATCHES

  • doctor who

  • strictly

  • the cry

  • bake off

  • stranger things series 2

  • Annihilation

  • haunting of hill house (scary - but good)

  • Harry Potter of course (especially because of Crimes of Grindlewald coming out so soon!)

BONFIRE NIGHT

My reading week was perfectly timed so that I could watch the fireworks in Pill with a few friends

Somehow they went on for almost an hour. We kept thinking they were over and being like "wow that was good" for them to carry on! At one point we were so convinced they were done we even went inside only to hear more fireworks and run back out! Thanks Will Bath (if you're reading) for letting us watch from your back garden

CLIMBING

Of course even while I was at home I manged to squeeze in a couple of climbing sessions with my mum and boyfriend and some friends

Thanks all for reading my autumn faves and catching up with what I've been up to. I hope you've all been making the most of the best season ever. Now it's time to start preparing for winter!
